I am a 30 something husband to 1 and father of 2 children and an angel living in Cheshire, in North West England.
I am 6’5” and struggle to find clothes that fit and look good whilst doing it – especially when looking for motorbike wear.
I passed my Mod 2 test (at the 3rd time) in 2016 having only decided to pass my CBT a few months prior and my Ducati Scrambler Urban Enduro was the first bike I bought.
I am also a big fan of motorbiking and love the look and ride that the Ducati Scrambler (and Scrambler bikes in general) offer to the modern rider. I always thought I wanted a Royal Enfield but was put off by the lack of power and supposed poor build quality.
I have no interest in riding a sportsbike and going 0-60 in 3 seconds and grinding my one piece leather suit against the tarmac etc – I would use my car to do things like that – I prefer the comfort of knowing I have seatbelts, airbags and computers to keep me safer if raw speed is the aim of the game.
I like to sit upright and take in my surroundings. I like the feeling of freedom a bike offers vs driving a car. I like the rush of the acceleration to filter through traffic and the views I see whilst out in the countryside or up hills and mountains.
My bike is not my primary mode of transport although it is often my chosen one. I use motorcycling as a way to clear my head after work – Most of these rides will take 45-90 minutes. I motorcycle to family holiday destinations in the UK – My wife is an amazing, beautiful woman, who take the kids, dogs and luggage in her family car!
I like to travel, I like to explore and take in the sights and try and see things from different angles. I have travelled and ridden through places as far away as India and Iran. Being on a motorcycle makes you more engaged with your surroundings and gives you closer and more personal experiences.
I also love nothing more than riding through North Wales or across the hills from Macclesfield to Buxton near where I live. Or even to my next work meeting through the city centre or down the motorway a few junctions. If the sun is out, so is the bike!
I will document some of my rides on the site and I will take some beautiful images as I go.
Please follow my story on Instagram and / or Facebook and feel free to reach out and connect if you want to know more or have any suggestions.
I actively promote safer riding and especially the CRASH Card / Green Dot Scheme. I believe it should be compulsory that the emergency details are available for any biker on or off the roads.
I hope you enjoy my images and routes I share and please always remember – better to be late than never – Ride safer!
Happy Scrambling!
